It's almost here! Very soon Barack Obama will soon be the president of the United States and it is a time of relief and optimism for many of us. I'm celebrating this moment in a couple of ways. Of course, there will be "The Black President" party this Friday in Toronto featuring Philly's own Rich Medina. As well, since we are all looking towards the future right now, I decided to shed light on a cat who I feel will play a big part in the future of Canadian Black music, Slackah The Beatchild. He's a talented, humble young man who you can learn about in the Northern Lights segment of this week's show. I'll end the show with some positive vibrations in honour of these positive times.
